One of our core philosophies is to avoid using the same patterns over and over. We believe this leads to “alert fatigue”, where people quickly tune out and the reminder becomes noise. To counter this effect, we change the response word for each reminder, vary the delivery time slightly, and provide different pay off content. Thus, the variable window is meant to avoid a stigma around a specific time.

This being said, several of our beta testers wanted a specific time due to timing of medications for meals or simply as a preference to be prompted at an exact time. 

We support both a 30-minute window or an exact time. In our view, whichever helps you best on your healthcare journey is the “right” one to use.
